Fallow deer hunting in Hungary

Fallow deer hunting in Hungary. Fallow buck hunting in Hungary. Fallow deer shooting in Hungary.

Hungary has one of the strongest fallow deer populations in the world. This is confirmed by the fact that the latest two world record trophies were bagged in east Hungary, at Gúth, a place near the town of Debrecen (1991: 6.40 kg, 233,11 CIC; 2002: 5.43 kg, 237,63 CIC).

We organise hunting in the best areas of Hungary, in Transdanubia in Tolna and Somogy county, near Budapest and North-East Hungary.
Stalking or shooting from horse-drawn carriage are the two finest forms of hunting for fallow deer.

The ideal time of hunting for bucks is in October, during the rutting season, but successful hunting is possible in later months as well, which can then be conveniently combined with the hunting of red deer stags, mouflons and wild boars.
